There was a time when watching the trash man on Fridays was cool. The trash man would honk and wave to us, the kids loved it. Well today was mass trash and after dropping of the girls our driveway was blocked by what Owen called "the tractor". We just parked in our neighbors drive way but now Owen didn't want to go in. He just was enthralled with watching the mass trash be taken away!

He wants the camera so he can take the pictures!

18 Oct - Winner and Super heroes

Victoria had been going on all week about this super bingo the school was going to do and how she wanted to go but couldn't cause she need 50 school dollar and had spent some of her money and didn't have enough. So when I picked up her she told me she had won!!

She got to play super bingo it only cost 15 dollors silly girl! And she had won a soccer ball!

she was very excited about her soccor ball so much she didn't want it to go out side and get dirty! I convinced it it was OK to take it out and kick it around it was a soccer ball after all ;)

later in the evening we had been out and picked up Owens Halloween costume so after shower we tried it to se if it fit,

17 Oct - Playing outside

The weather has been so nice lately I kick the kids outside every chance I can!

It's been good for them.
They have been so imaginative and getting along really well.
They were all just riding the broom stick a second before!

They are being creative!

16 oct- learning with play dough!

I've been wanting to do some educational stuff with Owen. While on Pin interest I came across this play dough sheets. It was very similar to what Bella did in pre-school. This particular sheet was the child was suppose to rool out some pots and put them on the puppy!

It went really well for a while. Then he got bored and made a mountain He then would take the mountain and smash it on top of the dog and say where did it go? (The spots) He thought it was hilarious Hmm so much for that I guess a little education is better then none right? LOL

11 Oct- My future little photographer

On the 11th after the funeral Owen and i were told we should get out of the house so we headed to the Zoo, We took a friend with us who was wanting to take pics of the new sea lion cove. So Owen wanted to take pictures too so I let him use my camera and this is some of what he took.

I'm impressed with my little photographer!

10 Oct- My dad's recption

After the funeral which I might blog about later. The reception was nice here are a few pics with some of my awesome cousins.

3 Oct - My dad's passing

NOTE: This post is mainly for me . Just for my memory. Not a fun reading .....

On Oct 2^nd was the last day I saw my dad alive. He stopped by to visit like he normally does when something is bothering him. I was in the wash room vacuuming up sand, when Owen comes running in “Grandpa Grandpa!!” he tells me very excited and pointing then runs to the door. I had Owens blinds up so he saw him coming up the grass, I let my dad in and we sit and talk. He tells me he no longer has insurance. My mom took him off the insurance. I assure him she can’t do that they are still married. He just needs to call her and find out whets going on. I tell him to call Sarah and ask her. He says they are not answering his calls. So I tell him he and Joyce should go visit them tomorrow since she is coming tomorrow. He says yeah OK and then just enjoyed watching Owen. I left Owen with him as I picked up the girls and he hung out and while I did homework with the girls. Finally around 4 he said he was going to go asked if he was sure, he said yeah. He now lived by himself. His sister Joan had to move out so I told him I would call him every day to check on him. Since Joyce was coming the following day I said I wouldn't call to check on him and would just see him later. I thought maybe I should invite him to stay for dinner but he looked tired so I let him go home.

Oct 3^rd- I had plans for the day. Get Owen his hair cut. Go to story time and got to the bank to deposit money for PTA. Since it was closes I got Owens haircut first. Afterwards with hair everywhere, I made a mental note Haircuts always should be last. As I was driving I got a message on my phone from my uncle. My dad was in the hospital. So I said why he said he didn't know so I just decided to go find out. When I got there, I went to patient services and they told me he was in the ER. So I went to the ER and they took me to a small room in the back. I just assumed he had tried to kill himself again because he had tried once before and it was the same room I was in before. I thought the worst for a second but dismissed it. Finally the Doctor and nurse came in and they asked if I was his niece I said no I was his youngest daughter. They said they had been trying to call his family but had no luck. Then the doctor told me he was sorry but my dad was dead, he wasn't joking my dad was dead. He said he had collapsed in front of the bank and by the time the ambulance had gotten there he was gone. He then said he was sorry and he would have the Chaplin come in to make sure I could go back and see him. The door opened and my aunt came in. She asked where is my brother, and I told her he was gone he was dead. I remember being so upset I just remembered trying to call Naomi and my mom. I couldn't get through then the door opened again and Danita, John and my Tio Martian came in. I finally got a hold of Naomi and told her to come dad was dead. Then the chaplain showed up and said we could go back to see him. I had Owen so I picked him up and carried him. I tried to stay towards the back I kind of didn't want to see. I paused at the door and went in and of course it was true he was gone. He looked like he was sleeping. It was hard to see. I just cried so hard leaned on the IV pole for some strength. The poor Chaplin thought I was going to faint and brought a chair but I was holding together for Owen and sat him in the chair. For a while I had to stand back. It took me a while to go to his bed side. Evan came and picked Owen I told him I would stay and wait for Naomi. Finally Naomi came and then my sister Sarah came as well. I asked where my mom was she said parking the car. So I asked her if she wanted me to stay with the boys she just nodded yes so I went to find them. I found them walking up the side walk and told my mom she needed to hurry they wanted to take his body he died at 8 and it was now 12pm. They needed to refrigerate him. Anyways this is good for now maybe in another post I will get to the dram that follows. I love my dad and miss him.

28 Sep- School Carnival

I don't know if I have blogged about this or not but I volunteered to be PTA president at the girls school this year. PTA put's on the school carnival. We organize all the vendors food and side carnival games. I was super busy but manged to catch a couple of pics of the kids on one of the carnival rides!

The kids of course had a good time! The carnival seem to go well. Only one little drama some lady with low blood sugar we had asked a fire truck to be there so it worked out well. They responded and took care of her, she was OK. Our poor vendors didn't sell much but it was all right we PTA did well. The kids had fun and that was the most important part!

25 Sep- Knights in Combat

22 Sep - The girls birthday party

We try and have a big party every other year and so it was time again to do a big party! My friend Megan Burdick was really awesome and let us use her pool to host the girls birthday party there.
